Through the last few years of economic and health challenges, we have been overwhelmed by the continued generosity of you, our supporters, and your dedication to helping prisoners of conscience stand up for what’s right. We would like to share an overview of the impact you have made possible in 2022, and a heartfelt thank you for your kindness.

Thanks to your unwavering support, we have been able to award 150 grants over the last 12 months, compared with 99 in 2021. This is a fantastic 51% increase in the number of grants over just one year, helping those who urgently need our help in over 27 countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan, and Pakistan.

Your support has enabled us to help those who are left with next to nothing after their brave acts of conscience. The majority of our grants in 2022 were awarded for urgent hardship relief, helping beneficiaries in their time of greatest need. We also awarded 12 bursaries to resilient men and women determined to continue their education, and 7 family reunification grants to enable prisoners of conscience to be safely reunited with their loved ones.

“I am eternally grateful and appreciative of your support in these moments of abject want. Your organization is an example of what the world needs amidst the hate and conflicts all around us…Thank you once again and bless you”

Henri*, human rights activist and filmmaker from Cameroon

Your contributions provide not only practical and financial assistance to people like Henri, but hope to those in desperate need, a light in the darkness. And for that, we cannot thank you enough. Your continued generosity will change the lives of so many more prisoners of conscience and their families during the challenges they face in 2023.
